Live Scan and More Provides State and Federal Apostille Services Nationwide for Documents intended to be used abroad and Federal Apostille for Documents issued by the Federal Government. 

State documents issued by the County, State, Court or Notarized by a Notary public must be Apostilled in the State the documents was issued in. Documents intended to be used in countries that are part of the Hague convention will require only an Apostille. Documents intended to be used in countries that are not part of the Hague convention will require additional authentication by the State, US State department and the Embassy of the country the document will be used in.

Some of the documents that will require State authentication are Birth, Marriage, Death Certificates, State Background check, Copy of passport, Power of attorney, Commercial documents issued by the secretary of state, Corporate documents, Court documents and More.

Some of the federal documents that will require Federal Apostille Includes FBI Background check (also referred to as FBI Report or FBI Rap Sheet), Certified copy of a US Passport,  Social Security Benefit letter. Certificate of Naturalization (Naturalization Certificate), Health Certificate, Certificate of Free Sale, US Department of Commerce Patent & trademark Application, FDA (food and drug) Certificates, IRS form 6166, (Form 6166 - Certification of U.S. Tax Residency), ISO Certificate,

Embassy Legalization Service for non Hague Convention Countries.

Embassy Legalization of official documents is a procedure where the Embassy Authenticates the signature of the State and/or US State Departments Authentication by providing a stamp or seal on the back of the State or US State Departments Authentication. In order for the Embassy to Authenticated a documents they will require first the authentication of the State the document was issued in and then they will require the Authentication of the State Department before legalizing the document. If the document is a federal document they will only require the State Departments Authentication.

Below are instructions on how to get fingerprinted, access your report and submit to us for Apostille and if needed translated.

Step 1:

Two ways to get fingerprinted:
    1- In person at our office
    2- Mail-in 2 Ink card (FD-258)

For applicants that prefer to come to our office we will take their prints Electronically and submit to the FBI directly and provide you with an access code to access your report in 2 to 4 hours and email the PDF to us for Processing the Apostille or you can wait till you receive the hard copy by mail and mail or drop off the original to us to process the Apostille.

For applicants that prefer to apply by Mail please follow the four steps below:

Step 1:
1- Fill out the FBI Channeling Request form below
2- Mail 2 sets of completed Fingerprint card (FD-258 Card)
3- Payment for $90 (plus expedited shipping charges if applicable) by Money order, Cashier’s Check or Credit Card online.
4- Mail everything to:  Live Scan and More

Once we receive your prints we will process it immediately and email you the access code. You can access your report in 2 to 4 hours and email the PDF to us to process the Apostille or you can wait till you receive the hard copy by mail and mail or drop off the original to us to process the Apostille.

Step 2:

For the Apostille we will need the following:
1- PDF or Hard Copy of the FBI Report
2- Fill out Order Form below
3- Payment for $175 by Money order, Cashier’s Check or Credit Card online. Additional reports cost $125/report to Apostille.

Step 3:

If you like your Apostilled FBI report translated please indicate the language you want it translated to on the order form you fill out before mailing to us. The fee for translation varies depending on the language and the number of pages the report has. Once we have a copy of the report we can price the translation separately for you.

Step 4:

Payment for the Apostille or Apostille and Translation can be done Online, by Money order or Cashier’s Check. Receipt can be emailed or mailed to us with the documents.
