RCMP Background Check - Canadian RCMP Record Check

If  you reside outside Canada and you need a Canadian RCMP Record check Live Scan and More can take your prints and submit the prints to the Canadian RCMP through CCRTIS Accredited Agency to provide RCMP Certified Canadian criminal record checks or criminal background check through the Privacy Act or RCMP Background Check for Canadian Citizenship.

We will take your fingerprints on RCMP form C-216C or FD-258 fingerprint cards, which will then be digitized by an CCRTIS Accredited Agency and uploaded via a secure server, directly to the RCMP for processing. These checks can then be Authenticated and legalized for use in most foreign countries for an additional fee.

​​For Canadian applying for RCMP background check for Immigration for the US must now request the criminal record through the privacy Act.

The CCRTIS report under the Privacy Act is based on a fingerprint search. The report will contain a copy of the National Repository data holding as it exists, but without fingerprint images. It will contain only that information permitted to be disclosed under federal law. It will not have the official RCMP embossed seal and will be in a plain format only and is not designed for official use.

Requirements are:
1- Original and Photocopies of both sides of TWO pieces of valid identification. At lease ONE piece of identification must bear a photograph, name and date of birth and be of federal or provincial issue. (examples of identification that can be used: Passport, Citizenship Card or Document, Birth Certificate, Drivers License, Permanent Resident Card, Government ID).
2- In person appearance to take your fingerprints on RCMP form C-216C or FD-258 cards.

Cost:
$395 Payable to “Live Scan and More” (Includes Fingerprinting, shipping and Submission to Canadian RCMP including all RCMP fees and third party processing fees)

Processing Time:

From the time we take your prints to the time you receive the report can take about 4 weeks. If additional Authentication will be required it can take longer depending what country it will be used in. Once your prints are submitted to the RCMP there is no way for us to check the status of the report until you receive it. RCMP will not provide any update on your file.
